Welcome to our 2020 Annual Report. With the COVID-19 pandemic, 2020 was a difficult year for us all! For the general public, tennis was perhaps the last thing to be considered. Through it all, tennis survived and in some cases, became the much needed social outlet in this crazy world! Our Foundation adapted and to our Board’s credit, never wavered from our mission … Changing Lives Through Tennis.

As expected, our revenue was down by about 10% and so our giving was also reduced, by 7.7%.  We had to adapt! In doing so, we were able to award a significant grant in our new, first year wheelchair tennis program. In addition, we looked for other ways to help and were able to increase our facility support by about 63% – funds used to help public facilities meet COVID-19 requirements.

So now with more and more Americans getting vaccinations, society, and tennis facilities and programs, are beginning to see a return to normalcy. We know that we will have continuing challenges in 2021 but we’ll be here to accept those challenges and to support public tennis in Florida for years to come.
