The USTA Florida Foundation is proud to continue the legacy of Jacob Gill through the Jacob Gill Memorial Fund. Jacob was a high school teacher and tennis coach who dedicated his life to helping kids grow, both in the classroom and on the court. His family established this fund in 2024 to honor his giving spirit and ensure his passion for education and tennis lives on. 

“The USTA Florida Foundation is able to assist underserved populations and programs to give everyone the opportunity to participate in tennis. While we will forever miss our dear son, we are grateful that his legacy can be one of kindness and helping others through tennis,” Jacob’s Parents, Chuck and Amanda Gill said. 

His family created this fund with the USTA Florida Foundation to honor his generous spirit and carry forward his commitment to serving youth. The fund supports tennis and educational programs across Florida. Your donation helps expand opportunities for kids to learn, play, and experience the same joy in tennis and education that Jacob loved sharing with others. 

Since its creation, the fund has raised nearly $40,000 from 155 donors, with $11,850 contributed in 2025 alone. Approximately $25,000 has already been awarded to tennis programs and educational initiatives serving underserved youth across Florida.  

“On behalf of our entire family, thank you for your generous donation to the USTA Florida Foundation in honor of our son Jacob. We continue to be overwhelmed by the love and support that has been demonstrated in his honor,” The Gill Family said. “Jacob was a bright, kind and loving young man who had a passion for giving and helping others. As a teacher and tutor, he was supportive and proud of the students he was able to help. He was equally passionate about helping students learn and enjoy tennis! For that reason we are hopeful that he will be remembered as a person who tried to help kids both on court and in the classroom.”
