USTA Florida Foundation Fall 2022 Grant Cycle Now Accepting Applications

With a mission of “Changing Lives through Tennis,” the USTA Florida Section Foundation provides financial support to organizations that help people of all ages and abilities improve their health and quality of life through the great game of tennis. 

To live out this mission, the USTA Florida Foundation has announced its fall grant cycle, which will run from August 1 through October 31, is now open.

In the previous cycle the USTA Florida Foundation handed out $91,618.40 to Florida tennis communities. This was the largest sum in a single grant cycle and now brings the total since 2005 to over $2 million dollars.  

The Foundation is currently accepting applications for its fall grants. Here are the types of grants that will be available and what they cover.  

Equipment Grants 

Equipment grants are available and provide tennis equipment for all ages and skills of tennis. It also provides equipment that is needed for adaptive and wheelchair tennis programs. You can learn more about the USTA Florida Foundation Equipment Grants here.  

Program Support Grant 

Another grant that is available is Program Support. These grants provide funding for youth tennis, adaptive tennis and other approved Florida tennis programs for special populations of all ages and under-resourced children and adults in economically challenged communities. Wheelchair Grants  

The final grant available are Wheelchair grants, which provide funding for youth and adult wheelchair tennis programs. This is focused on attracting new players from across the states that may be in economically challenged communities. You can learn more about USTA Florida Foundation Wheelchair Grants here.
